Try a Webinar!
Rev. Arthur Ritter, Moderator
|
|
|
Our Ministry Councils are discovering that webinars are an excellent way to conveniently provide information to our churches and ministers. By joining together remotely, a speaker is presented or a topic discussed, much like the traditional workshops of our Annual Meeting and Conference.
In this past year, we have hosted webinars on Vacation Bible School curriculum, church safety, and church revitalization. These webinars were hosted by Growth Ministry Council and our Director of Programs, Rev. Dr. Gerry Krupp. On November 2, the Mission and Outreach Ministry Council will host a webinar focusing on vetting non-profits and mission groups so that better decisions can be made about contributing resources. You can find more information and sign up for this webinar on the NACCC website.
Other ideas are being considered for future webinars. Keep your eye on the website, on the NACCC Facebook page, and all monthly newsletters for details, and share your ideas with us.

What Are Your Gifts?
Jodee Lord, Vice-Moderator, Chair, Board of Directors
|
|
|
When I became Vice-Moderator, I asked myself the question, “What are some of the characteristics that make a strong association”. I immediately thought of the people in the NACCC, then I thought of our Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee works hard to find individuals to service on the various councils and Boards.
So, please ask yourself:
- What are the gifts that God gave you?
- What are your talents?
- What do you have a strong knowledge of?
- What are your passions?
The NACCC membership is made up of a diverse group of churches and people. Working together and collaborating is how we make a strong association.
So, I ask you to prayerfully consider filling out a nomination form to be considered by the Nominating Committee.

ECRF Endorsement!
Laura Hamby, President, Congregational Foundation Board of Governors
|
|
|
I am attending the eight-week Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF) course through the Lake Institute on Faith and Giving. I am enjoying the rich opportunity to learn with Congregational church leaders, ministers, members of the NACCC Foundation, and administrators from our partners at the Congregational Library and Archives. Each week includes a 90-minute plenary session and a 60-minute smaller, peer group session. As of this writing, we have completed two weeks and I look forward to the weeks ahead with great enthusiasm and expectation! On behalf of my fellow classmates, thank you to the NACCC Foundation for sponsoring the class for a highly discounted rate!

On another note, Tracy Bernhardt has been a major resource to the Foundation Board of Governors. We will miss her top-flight support and the joy that she brings to her work. We wish her the very best as she pursues her dream job!

Executive Director Listening Tour
Rev. Dr Ashley Cleere, Executive Director

The Listening Tour resumed with September stops in California. One congregation gathered in 2015 meets in a community space while another church founded in 1868 opens its doors to community groups.
