Our Changing Identity
Rev. Dr. Ashley Cleere, Executive Director
|
Like many NACCC churches, the congregations I served renewed their covenant whenever people joined. Before saying those words of promise, we acknowledged that a covenant, defined by those who share in that binding commitment, changes based on who participates.
While the congregations comprising the NACCC are not formally united by a covenant, a sense of togetherness shapes our identity. We open each annual meeting and conference with a vote by the delegates and a service of installation for congregations that the Leadership Council approved for membership during the preceding year. Likewise, member churches call pastors and receive members from traditions beyond the NACCC to their pulpits.
The 27,300 souls who comprise the National Association do not remain constant. In the spirit of the Congregational Way, individuals and churches who enter our midst transform who we are. Through word and deed, we extend welcome!

Building Strengthening Relationships

Plans are under way to organize a retreat, workshop and seminar for Pastors and presiding elders of all the churches for a three-day gathering during the first quarter of 2024. The Mission Board is also planning a Pastors and wives’ retreat. The idea is to bring them to a hotel for two nights to enable them to relax and refresh for ministry. During this program, a seasoned marriage counselor will be brought in to speak.
In 2023 private school games, Word Alive Christian Academy Junior High School (JHS) boys maintained their 1st position in the field of soccer and the girls came in 3rd. In volleyball, both boys and girls had the 3rd position. In the Primary school games, our school secured the 3rd position in both boys and girls. Together, we are touching people through the academics and sports. We are grateful for the MOMC, member churches, and individuals for standing with us over the years. With your help, we spread the gospel and do projects that have positive influence in the lives of the people in Ghana. May Elohim bless you all.
