Transitions – by Rev. Dr. Michael Chittum, Executive Director
Over the past several years, the NACCC has been marked by transitions. Let me remind you of some of them. Following the work of the Strategic Planning team, the Ministry Councils came into being. Upon a vote by member church delegates, the NACCC went from being a dual entity – association and corporation – to only a single entity – corporation. Significant from my perspective, and again by vote and direction of the delegate body attending the Annual Meeting and Conference, the NACCC chose to move to a single executive position from multiple executives.
Now, after my announcement of my retirement (effective June 4, 2021) and following the months of faithful and conscientious work by the Executive Director Search Committee, a new Executive Director has been chosen. I am delighted to welcome, Rev. Dr. Ashley Cook Cleere, as the newly named Executive Director of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.
