It hardly seems possible but our Annual Meeting and Conference in Brookfield, Wisconsin will be happening in less than a month. I hope that you have made plans to attend or to have your church represented. If you cannot be there, we hope to have you join us virtually.
I look forward to the Plenary Sessions which will challenge us to look at the future with new hope and to share our good news in faith. The Wisconsin Congregational Association has a fantastic welcome planned with special activities.
Of course, we will conduct our business and celebrate those who have labored faithfully in Christ’s service. We will enjoy seeing one another, perhaps the best part of any meeting for most of us.

Performing Arts Events Receive Funding
Congregational Foundation Board of Governors
Three NACCC member churches were recently awarded the John Richard Memorial Endowment for Fine and Performing Arts Grant. This endowment was established by John’s family and provides grants of up to $500 to NACCC member churches of 200 members or less that are planning Fine or Performing Arts events in their church.
Congratulations to Oakwood Heights Community Church on Staten Island, NY and People’s Congregational Church in Bayport, MN, who are both hosting music festivals for their congregations and communities, and to Southern Ocean Congregational Church in Little Egg Harbor, NJ who is presenting a symphonic band concert for their congregation and the public. We wish them the best for successful, well-attended, joyful events.
NACCC Seeks Magazine Editor
The NACCC is looking for an Editor who will oversee all aspects of The Congregationalist, a magazine sponsored by the NACCC supporting and furthering the Congregational Way.
Special thanks to outgoing editor, Marianne King. She will join us at the Annual Meeting & Conference in June and will collaborate with the new editor on the September 2023 issue.
Listening Tour Update
Rev. Dr Ashley Cleere, Executive Director
Staff transitions and heightened preparations for the Annual and Meeting and Conference resulted in more time in Oak Creek. While pausing the Listening Tour, I have appreciated Zoom conversations with prospective member congregations and churches assessing their legacy and longevity. Later this month, I’ll celebrate a church anniversary here in Wisconsin and worship with a congregation in Michigan as they welcome new members.
